Stansted, Luton and London City: Getting Into Town
Three very different airports, each with its own best route into London and its own nearest neighbourhood.
Stansted
Stansted is a long way out in Essex. The Stansted Express runs to Liverpool Street, which takes under an hour and puts you beside the City. Our Tower Hill lady is a short taxi ride from there, and hotels around Aldgate and Shoreditch are handy for a first night.
Luton
Luton Airport Parkway has fast trains to St Pancras, often in about half an hour, so King's Cross and Bloomsbury are the natural places to stay. Tottenham Court Road is then only a few minutes away on the Tube or by taxi.
London City
London City is the only airport actually in town. The DLR connects it to Canary Wharf and Bank in a few minutes, so it is the easiest arrival for business guests. If you are staying around Canary Wharf, our Tower Hill lady is the closest, and your area page shows the exact distance.
